Pumping & Cleaning
When a septic tank is being properly maintained, the only time you should have to worry about it is when the system is due for regularly scheduled pumping and cleaning. Proactive maintenance contributes to a smoothy running system that saves clients both time and money. In using our pump out services, our clients can rest assured that their septic tanks are kept at the optimum level, securing against potential overflow. During our cleaning services, septic tanks are fully emptied, including the sludge layer. In conjunction with our pumping and cleaning services, we also provide cleaning on additional components of the septic system.
Benefits Maintenance is a key component of keeping any type of equipment running at peak performance. Being proactive about maintaining a schedule of pumping, cleaning and yearly inspections for a septic tank helps increase the longevity of the system. Having our company perform regular maintenance means less costly repairs and replacements in the long run. A tank that is well maintained is also unlikely to experience problems such as tank overflow or scum build up that requires filter cleaning or build up removal. Getting ahead of issues also reduces the risk of operational downtime, which is particularly important for businesses with commercial septic tanks. Pumping Though many people use the terms “pumping” and “cleaning” interchangeably when it comes to septic tanks, the two processes are very different. When our professionals arrive to pump out a septic tank our primary goal is to make sure the tank isn’t going to overflow. We enter through the access points, removing some of the floating sludge as well as water from the well. Not only does this decrease the likelihood of overflow, but helps prevent the build up of blockage causing solids and grease. Having the well septic tank pumped on an appropriate schedule also eases the process of well cleaning. Cleaning As opposed to septic tank pumping where liquids and floating sludge are removed, septic tank cleaning removes everything from the tank, including the compacted layers of sludge that have settled at the bottom of the tank. When pumping is done on the proper schedule, this process becomes much easier for our technicians, and creates less time with the system out of order for maintenance. During this process we may also find tree roots that have infiltrated the system, in which case our experts remove the roots and advise on the treatments available to help prevent root growth in the future. Additional Services Aside from pumping and cleaning septic tanks, at St George Septic Service we also provide a number of other cleaning services that help maintain your septic system health. During a cleaning or pump out when there is better access to some equipment, we are able to inspect other parts of the system for our clients. Our additional services include inspecting float switches and motorized equipment, as well as filter cleaning and pump cleaning when needed. In the case of build up in other areas of the septic system, we flush out field lines that have been clogged by septage buildup. |
